About the event
Looking for a sustainable solution for your gift wrapping needs? Furoshiki wrapping cloths are the perfect option - made from vintage linens, dyed with local plants, reusable, biodegradable, and completely unique.
Furoshiki cloths are a reusable wrapping that becomes part of the gift itself. The original recipient can use the fabric as a table cloth or bandana, or even use it to wrap another gift for someone else. Each time it passes through new hands, the story of the furoshiki wrap grows. Like an heirloom piece passed on from one generation to the next.
Come and dye your own sustainable gift wrapping using only local plants on Saturday, December 11th during Fabrica Moderna’s open studios! Each fabric is 80 by 80 cm, which is perfect to wrap a large gift or cut it in 4 to wrap several small items.
You’re welcome to pop in, bundle your furoshiki wrap, and come back 40 minutes later to pick them up! First come, first served until supplies run out.
Price : 12 euros for the first wrap + 7 euros for each additional fabric.
The price includes all the materials including mordanted fabrics and dye plants.
