Crazy soft long sleeve t shirt ecoprinted with giant grevillea leaves and hints of logwood.
Giant grevillea leaves come from the high school near my house. It is native to Australia but has been widely planted in streets and parks around Portugal. The leaves naturally shed and are easily found on the ground.
Logwood is a tree in the legume family native to Central America and the Carribean. The tree has medicinal properties and the bark is an important source of purple dye. Fun fact - in the 17th century ships headed for Europe and loaded with logwood were often targeted by pirates.

Botanical dyes are often referred to as living colour because of the way the shades mature with time.... depending on the dye used, the pigments will have varying sensitivity to sunlight and washing. Fabrics are treated before dyeing to ensure maximum fatness of the color, but years from now if you'd like to give new life to your garment, I encourage you to experiment with your own techniques.
